My daughter was put in a very stressful situation with her car. The service person Al, was very helpful providing best steps to take. The whole service department was very accommodating to make sure my external issue caused by another garage could be handled efficiently, cost effectively, and quickly. I don’t think I have ever dealt with any dealership where trust was earned so fast.

My salesman Carson was the best. He worked with me on all my requests and made my new truck purchase flawless, couldn't ask for better help.

I had the pleasure of working with Jarrod, who was a great salesman. We went to take a look at a 2022 Trax, and ended up looking at several other vehicles in the process. Not only that, but he was very attentive in the process afterwards. Reaching out multiple times asking about how our search was going and offering any assistance we needed. We ended up going with a different vehicle, but Jarrod was a great salesman to work with. Definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a new vehicle!

Dropped via tow my 2023 GMC Sierra truck at Leman's to get it diagnosed and fixed after it broke down inexplicably on Interstate 55 at the 55 Business exit 167 (northbound). Started to get status within 2 Business days. Took about 1 week to get an initial diagnosis (Transmission cooler line failed and transmission lost all its fluid) since they had to get time on the schedule of one of their two Diesel technicians. Once the initial diagnosis (Visual) was done they had to order parts in order to refill and test the transmission. Parts (cooler line) came in about a week later. Transmission not operable. So they had to turn it over to their transmission specialist to dismantle and fully check all subcomponents of the transmissions to see if an onsite rebuild could be accomplished per General motors procedures another week plus. Service Specialist Alvania (Al) generally kept me informed as progress was being made from intake, to initial diagnosis, to parts ordering to confirmed diagnosis, to transmission full spectrum assessment and submission to the GM Representative requesting a new (rebuilt) transmission, to GM approval, to transmission a Acquisition and receipt, to installation and road testing. Also spoke to service manager Troy once when I hadn't heard from Al in a few days. Altogether it took 1 month from July 11 to August to get my truck back repaired. I greatly appreciate Al and Troy and all the Leman's Technicians involved with working the process required for GM to approve a replacement transmission due to the GM part (transmission Cooler hose ) failure. Also Al did a great job of communicating with my local (northeastern Illinois) GMC Dealership that provided all maintenance and previous repairs to the truck. I gave 4 stars as the process took one month, some due to Lemans resource (technician) constraints and mostly, I believe, due to the GM major component assessment process requirements.

I brought my car in to get a new shifter knob! They gave me an estimate that said the part would be $334 with $290 in labor! They want me to buy, I consider unnecessary parts to fix this! I bought a new shifter knob on Amazon for about $25! YouTube videos show that this would take about 30 minutes to fix an hour at the most!

So I bought a used but nearly new 2026 Trax Activ. Previously had a 2020 Trax LS. I was completely excited about the decision and loved the newer version of the Trax. We took it on the first road trip after having it for 5 days. The vehicle was great. I did notice a few issues but nothing stuck out as being serious. So I took it in and Tim did a great job at getting the repairs done and got me back in my vehicle. So the following week, I go to get in my car for work and again, my check engine light is on. This was actually starting to upset me with what should be an exciting time on buying a newer vehicle. So I take it back to the dealership and Tim takes care of my vehicle again. Assuring me he recently purchased one as well and he really enjoys his. Told him “I’m trying to”. Well it’s been a week since my vehicle has been in the shop and I can say I’m honestly able to enjoy my new purchase. I absolutely LOVE IT!! Thank you Tim for assisting in repairing my Trax!!

I recently purchased a Hummer EV from Chevy City, and overall I’m very happy with the vehicle and want to specifically recognize Logan in sales and Amanda in finance. Logan did a great job throughout the process.after the first salesperson I was working with dropped off the deal. He stayed engaged, worked with me, answered my questions, and helped keep the deal moving. Amanda was equally impressive on the finance side. She is a true finance professional. She worked hard to put everything together and was a big part of making this deal happen. Both of them were professional, helpful, and earned my business. The disappointing part of the experience was the lack of involvement from dealership management. I emailed the GSM directly regarding the deal and never received a response. I also called the dealership asking to speak with a sales manager and never received a call back. Having spent my career around sales and finance, I believe managers should be willing to get involved when a customer is trying to put a deal together. A manager shouldn’t simply manage a desk; sometimes you need to pick up the phone, talk to the customer, overcome the obstacle, and help your salesperson close the deal. I never felt that level of involvement from the management team here. Fortunately, Logan and Amanda stepped up and made the experience a good one, and ultimately they are the reason I felt comfortable moving forward with the purchase. I’m very happy with my Hummer EV and would absolutely recommend working with Logan and Amanda. That’s the only reason for the 5 star review. I just hope dealership management recognizes the opportunity to become more engaged with customers when their involvement could make the difference between losing a deal and earning someone’s business.
